The couple of teachers found themselves with a dilemma that affected many people with the beginning of the pandemic: adapting a part of the house to work remotely. And in their case, they needed a quiet and pleasant place to teach online classes (save the teachers!) That's how the guest room took on this role, but it was not entirely suitable and needed a good study to house the new home office.
With the premise of keeping the existing wardrobe, niches and half wall of joinery, the challenge was set.
THE PROBLEM
adapting the guest bedroom into a pleasant home office
THE SOLUTION
Taking advantage of the position of the existing niches and half wall, place a new workbench table, leaving it loose to be able to transform the office into a baby room in the future. The existing wardrobe doors were changed to a new colour and texture, making the environment more modern and pleasant to be used as a background in video classes.
The existing painting in a light blue tone was the same used in the couple's bedroom, so it was proposed to change the colour to a tone that did not refer to their resting moment when working, in this case a light grey tone.
The office should still serve as a guest room, and the suggested idea was to place a retractable sofa bed so that it would not take up so much space on a daily basis, since guest visits happen rarely
